A FEW FINAL THOUGHTS

So... its bed time for me, still no closer to a solution but here's a few final thoughts. So why do we always feel as though our skyscraper must only reside above the our site? For example why cant it cantilever outrageously outside our ground level boundaries (engineering, budget, and town planning issues put aside). In New York Bernard Tschumi's 'blue condominium does this to an extent, and whilst the reason council allowed it to do so has slipped beyond my current recognition, by memory it was an excellent reason. I'd like to relate in someway to the buildings around mine and give back some space to the public at the sites intersection, but I'd also like to orientate the building to the north. So why cant i twist it over the intersection and have the best of both worlds? the people who reside here have a passion for cars, how can i make their cars a focal point, do i make the garage the feature, do i give the car a lookout?
