I'M STILL KICKING...

SOOOOOO..... I'm finished Interior Design for good thank god! Keep posted i'll be uploading some details of that project in the weeks to come. Just thought i'd throw a couple of renders from the architectural design project i'm working on tonight. This is the Skyscraper for the car, i'm really enjoying this shit tonight, i spent most of the day at the hospital with my partner and son getting him checked out. He's been unsettled this week (of all weeks to be unsettled hey? last week of my bachelors!) but apart from being a bit blocked my little guys in perfect health which is far more important to me then anything else. Anyway its a work in progress but check this shit out! Above is where i was at at earlier this afternoon. The following is where i'm at now....

AN OLD PROJECT

Here's a short project with a one week turnaround from the very start of this semester. I wanted to examine economy of space, challenge concepts and ideas of shelter, and investigate positive and negative volumes within different spatial compositions. The space was to be interactive with the user, multifunctional in nature, and appeal to diverse range of users.

WHERE TO NOW

This is proving to be a substantial sized project and I'm struggling to stay on task. I find myself a little overwhelmed at the sheer amount of work i have to complete in finalising this design. Where do i start? I've created a sample model out of aluminium sheeting, and am beginning a second larger example. I thought I'd post a cut down version of my animation to help you better understand the structure. Enjoy.

Ok, its just turned a quarter past 1 and I've had enough modelling for this week. I'll plot a quick camera path, start rendering a short animation, then I'm done for tonight. Still got to do up a quick presentation, and cut some decent sections and renders to show this shit off, but that's for tomorrow morning. -JB

So this is due tommorrow as an initial design crit. Am i FUCKED? only time will tell... So i'd better get a move on because i've gotta haul arse to get this completed in time. Looks like no interior classes for me tommorrow morning :)

So i ditched the last idea and pursued the idea of a building made from a number of garages and car ports, framing views and kicking arse. But this idea was canned also...

PROCESS

I'm finally on smashing through some decent ideas now and I'm gaining more confidence in my concepts, my modelling isn't going perfectly but I'm on my way and that's something. Here's some of yesterdays ideas which were further developed than this stage but canned regardless.
